We’re excited to share that Deborah will lead a conversation on ‘The Future of the Boardroom: Navigating Governance in 2026 and Beyond,’ hosted by the International Women’s Forum (IWF) Montreal Chapter, in collaboration with MNP LLP, on May 28, 2026.
As the pace of change accelerates, the role of the board continues to expand. Governance today demands more than oversight; it calls for clarity, adaptability, and a long-term view in an increasingly complex and unpredictable (BANI) environment.
In this session, Deborah will be joined by Marie Hélène Nolet, Tania Clarke, and Mary Larson to explore how boards can evolve to meet these demands and drive meaningful impact. Together, they will discuss:
• How boards can strengthen decision-making through multiple perspectives—from retrospective learning to forward-looking strategy
• Approaches to integrating purpose, people, planet, performance, and process into governance practices
• Emerging challenges reshaping the board agenda, including AI, cybersecurity, and information integrity
• The critical role of representation and why board composition directly influences outcomes
