Today’s Thursday Thoughts come from my comments in Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada)‘s recent Pivot Magazine article, “How CPAs can navigate complexity with clarity and confidence”.

In the piece, I share my advice for today’s finance professionals, who are increasingly being called on to lead through uncertainty, provide strategic insight, and be willing to pivot amid the unexpected. For CPAs, this change presents a unique opportunity to lean in and step into new roles.

I am looking forward to exploring this topic in more depth alongside Cathy Logue, FCPA, FCA, ICD.D at the ONE Conference, hosted by CPA Canada from Sep. 18-19. Our session, The Future of the Boardroom, aims to challenge CPAs to expand their influence beyond oversight into strategy, innovation and purpose-driven governance.
